Some people are stupid. They are not mentally challenged; not knowledge deficient. They're stupid. They're the kind of people who stand in an open field waving a golf club over their heads in a lightning storm. The newspapers then call it a, "tragic accident."

These are the same people who wouldn't think of sticking their fingers in a wall socket. No, that would be stupid.

Stupid people can't help being that way. It's a gift they were born with. They get it from their parents.

"You can't get pregnant the first time", the boy says. He thinks the girl is stupid enough to believe him. She is but it isn't her first time. He's stupid enough to believe that. Then comes the stupid baby. Stupid babies grow up to be stupid people.

Smart people can produce stupid children if they have an off night. It's rare but not unknown. Usually these kids are kept out of public view by being hidden in fancy schools. Only someone hiding a stupid child would pay $25,000 dollars a year tuition for a second rate education that the stupid child can't use much less learn.

It's been said that there's a fine line between stupid and smart. Bunk. We're no talking a Bic Fine Point pen here. We're talking about a wallpaper brush.

One good test for stupidity is to ask someone their name. See if they have to think about it. Don't ask if two plus two equals four. That's instinct. Ask for their name.

Stupid people live in clumps. As, for example, most of West Virginia. On the other hand, there are hardly any stupid people in Wyoming. A half million or so. That's also the population of Wyoming. Who else but a stupid person would live there?

There are no stupid people in New York City. The dumbest person there would be Phi Beta Cappa anywhere else. Even the street people in New York are smart. They know where all the good garbage is and they eat only from the cans of five-star restaurants. No dummies there.

Jesus said, "the poor will always be with us." Well, so will the stupid. I just hope that the genetic engineers don't get a stupid DNA line to work with.
