Even the judge couldn’t believe it when Tom Hiler decided to testify in his own defense. Mainly because he didn’t have one. He stabbed his victim 40 times. He didn’t kill him and his victim pointed him out with what was left of his arm.

“You’re saying it was an accident? That’s what you want this court to believe?”, the D.A. asked Hiler.

“Yea, I want this court to believe it. Otherwise, I go to prison.”

“You say it was an accident?’

“Yea, I stumbled.”

“The victim was stabbed forty times! How do you accidentally stab someone forty times?”

“Well, I stumbled and stabbed him the one time. Then I kept losing my balance.”

“Losing your balance?”

“Yea, I was slipping and sliding in all that blood. It was his bleeding that caused that.”
