Just Retaining Water
Sam was not obese in his opinion. He thought of himself as a little overweight. He knew he needed to drop a few pounds he thought he was just retaining water. His neighbor, Dave, had his own thoughts on this. “Sam, if that’s water retention, you’re retaining one of the Great Lakes.” Sam tried one of the low fat, low carb diets. He did okay except that he’d gobble down a dozen cheeseburgers to ward off the hunger pains. He tried exercise but it tired him out. He even had his stomach stapled. That worked until he stretched it back out. Sam decided to take drastic action. He had to get rid of this water he was retaining. He wrapped his whole body in clear wrap, leaving only his hands and face open. He put on rubber gloves and laid out in the back yard under the hot sun. That should do it, he thought. Melt these pounds right off. His neighbor, Dave, went out a few hours later to cut the grass. He spotted Sam’s naked, wrapped body laying there in the hot sun. He went over, took a quick look, called 911 and went back to mowing his yard. The EMT’s got there quickly and made a decision quickly. The one EMT said to the other one, “Well, we won’t need a body bag for this guy. He saved us the trouble”. |
