Two big events here in the Charleston area. The first one is the Carolina Fair. Big to-do about this every year. Around here it's like the circus came to town. All it really amounts to is that it's the county fair. That's it. Some livestock, some rides and some hokey acts. That and a lot of animal shit.

This year they did it up right. They got Chubby Checker to perform. He still puts on a show and still has a little too much to twist with. On the other hand, you have the baby chicks. Take your pick.

The other biggie is an Elvis impersonator. He's bringing in Elvis' old backup group, The Jordanaires, with him. I thought they were all dead. Guess not. Elvis is though. Has been for years. Here's some guy making his living pretending to be performing as a dead guy.

He is, excuse the pun, a dead ringer for Elvis. Not the old, fat druggie but the young Elvis. You wouldn't know he wasn't Elvis if you didn't know Elvis was dead. Some Presley fans still harbor doubts so this guy makes a killing playing a dead guy.
