There you are with a snootful of snot.. No problem. Get a paper towel or a wad of toilet paper and blow away. No, a hankie won’t do it. If you use a hankie, then what? You going to stick it back in your pocket fill of snot? Full of that green stuff?

The problem is that little, hard one that’s stuck in the corner of your nose. You feel it every time you breath. It’s just like an itch. It has to come out. So, you pick it out. There. That feels better.

Now you have a dried booger on your finger. What are you going to do with it? No, no, not the hankie. We’ve been through that. You can flick it off if it’s dried out enough. But...what if it isn’t?

Okay. Is there someone standing next to you? Someone you don’t know, or better yet, don’t like? Tap them on the shoulder, asking the time, and wiping the booger on them. Sure, it’s not nice but you don’t want to wipe it on yourself and have people notice it.

In the winter you can hold your hand out, freeze it and then flick it.
