Ted and Alisa were visiting their friends, Tony and Sabatha, at their new home. It was beautiful. Four bedrooms, each with a full bath. A living room and family room, each with a marble fireplace, a dining room, and a study. They had a covered patio leading to their inground pool. In the garage were two BMW’s.

“Man, Ted, this is great! Man, oh, man. I couldn’t afford this. You must have saved up a while to do this”, Ted said.

“Yea, a little. Enough t0 make the down payment. The loans are a big chink of the income just the same”, Tony replied.

“Sabby, I don’t know how you do it all. We couldn’t do this and we make the same money you do. I’m impressed”, Alisa said.

“Well, we did have to make certain sacrifices in order to get this place and the Beemers”, Sabatha told her.

“Still, this is very, very nice. When does the furniture arrive? I can’t wait to see it”, Alisa went on.

Tony and Sabatha gave each other a look.

“Umm, the thing is, we don’t have any money to buy furniture. Not yet”, Tony told Ted and Alisa.

“We also need to be invited to at least three cocktail parties a week. I’m getting sick of those little wieners but we do what we have to do”, Sabatha added.
