Running Scared was watching the approaching Spaniards. He didn’t know they were Spaniards. He was lousy at geography. As they got closer he panicked. Halfman, halfsomethingelse. He ran to tell the rest of the warriors about it.

They all came for a look. The Spaniards had made camp and dismounted. The Indians then could see that they were men riding the somethingelse’s. What an idea! Riding instead of walking.

All they had to ride were buffaloes. They all started jumping on the buffaloes and yelling and stuff. Buffalo are both slow and stupid. The Indians were yelling and the buffalo were just standing there. Then one smart brave whacked his buffalo and started a stampede.

Wiped out half the village.
